Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Simmer, the app and website operated by Zenworks ("Simmer", "we", "us"). By downloading, opening, or using Simmer, you agree to them.

The service

Simmer helps you fall asleep with as few decisions as possible. Press Simmer plays a sound, story, or piece of music suited to you; the Library, Blends, and Rituals let you go deeper if you want to. Some features — the full content library, Sleep Together, offline downloads, home automation triggers, and wearable-based sleep tracking — are part of Simmer Plus, our paid subscription.

Accounts

You can use Press Simmer without an account. If you choose to sign in — with Apple, Google, or email — you're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for what happens under your account.

Subscriptions & billing

• Simmer Plus is billed at €39.99/year (€3.33/month equivalent) or €7.99/month, and renews automatically until cancelled.
• New subscribers get a 7-night free trial. We'll remind you before it ends; cancel anytime before then and you won't be charged.
• You can cancel anytime, in two taps, from the app. Cancelling stops future renewals — it doesn't refund the current billing period unless required by law.
• Prices may change; we'll notify you in advance of any change affecting your subscription.

Sleep Together

Sleep Together lets you and someone you invite fall asleep to the same sounds at the same time. There's no chat, video, or messaging inside a session — please only invite people you know, and be respectful of the fact that someone on the other end is trying to sleep.

Not a medical device

Simmer is designed to help with everyday, occasional difficulty winding down — it is not a medical device and isn't intended to diagnose, treat, or cure insomnia or any other sleep disorder. If you have ongoing sleep problems, please talk to a doctor.

Acceptable use

Don't use Simmer to harass others, upload content you don't have rights to, reverse-engineer the app, or interfere with its normal operation.

Intellectual property

Simmer's app, sounds, stories, music, and design are owned by Zenworks or licensed to us. Your subscription gives you a personal right to use them within the app — not to copy, redistribute, or resell them.

Termination

You can stop using Simmer and delete your account anytime — see Delete your data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Disclaimer & liability

Simmer is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we'll let you know in the app before it takes effect.
